UNM Fine Arts Center - Albuquerque NM

The Fine Arts Center renovation at the University of New Mexico  transformed a stark 1960's lobby into a warm, exciting space projecting a strong sense of place. VHGA improved public functionality of the theatre spaces and behind the scenes systems, such as sightlines and acoustic problems.

Working under an extremely tight 10-month timeframe VHGA successfully managed a diverse array of specialized consultants, as well as seamlessly integrated materials and systems provided by out-of-state suppliers.

The VHGA design included the design of new bathrooms, as well as an elevator now capable of providing handicapped access to the lower level venues and balcony seating in the Popejoy Hall and Rodey Theater.
